Which cottage is the perfect fit for you?

* For solo traveller, we recommend Luna Mountain Cottage or Gaia StarDome.       
* For complete isolation and being blissfully surrounded by fynbos with not another soul in sight we recommend Nova StarDome or Owners Cottage.
* For family with children: our 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom Nova StarDome is ideal. 
* For 2 couples travelling together, we recommend to book both Luna Mountain Cottage and Gaia StarDome so each couple has its own bedroom and bathrooms while having an inter-leading door to create beautiful memories together. 

Our accommodations are pet-friendly to sociable and well-behaved dogs. Maximum 1 dog/pet per cottage at all cottages except at Nova StarDome up to 2 dogs/pets.


Hot tub / kolkol: Overlooking the striking Little Karoo valley with views that stretch waaaaay into the distance, a soak in our wood-fired KolKol hot tub is a hugely popular experience. Please reserve beforehand at R195 per booking (which includes wood and cleaning before/after). Subject to availability. You will have exclusive use of the pool / boma area for the whole evening of your booking. Because of the high risk of fire (and to ensure you have the best experience), only trained Starry Starry Night staff are allowed to prepare the KolKol. Please don't forget your swimsuit. 🙂

We are happy to offer yummy home-cooked farm meals by prior arrangement with a variety of mouth-watering dishes to choose from. All dishes are meat-free. Please check with us about specific ingredients or if you have any allergies before ordering.

We have a very small team and to avoid food wastage we kindly ask that you order the same food for everybody in your group - i.e. the same starter, mains and dessert for everybody. If you order meals for more than one night, you can of course order something else for the other night. Thank you for your help.

1. Mediterranean Lasagna:

Sun-kissed tomatoes and grilled peppers meet traditional Italian flavours and cheesy topping in the crowd pleaser


2. Cape Malay Bobotie: (vegan)

Balanced sweetness from butternut meet fragrant spices in our take on the traditional South African favourite. Tiny bit hot


3. Eggplant & Lentil Moussaka:

A delicious grilled sauce meets a beautiful full body tomato base to create this tasty dish of Turkish origin



Desserts:


1. Apple crumble:

Silky vanilla custard combines beautifully with sweet poached apple, winter spices like cinnamon and a crunchy topping. Yum! 


2. Chocolate Ice cream: (vegan)

Dairy-free plant milk and cacao combined with smooth banana makes for a great plant-based ice cream. Served with frozen berries.


3. Malva pudding with English custard

Traditional South African favourite served with home-made English vanilla custard.
